about the Book
A Revealing Perspective

The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center symbolized American strength and resilience, surviving previous incidents like a fire and a car bombing. On September 11th, 2001, they were targeted in a deliberate terrorist attack. When the North Tower was struck by an aircraft, it was initially believed to be an accident. However, the subsequent crash into the South Tower confirmed a coordinated assault. These historic events, broadcast live, shocked the world as both towers collapsed within two hours, reducing them to ruins. The attacks were part of a broader plan to harm the Western world and its economy.
Here, the author shares his unique perspective, telling the hidden tale of a grieving family who lost a father in a traffic homicide allegedly at the hands of the 9/11 ringleader, Mohamed Atta, 17 months before 9/11, and how he pursued a claim for damages for them—giving insight into the legal world in which he operated. A personal story of tragedy, love, paternal loss, and legend, hidden for over 20 years, now superbly woven into commentary on the worst of American days, and a heart-warming "docu-drama" relevant to all our lives.

This was a fascinating memoir written by a retired lawyer who brought a case to find justice for the son of a victim of a hit and run accident. The victim, Keith, known as 'Sunshine', was just an ordinary person who had fallen in love, had a young child and a future ahead. All that was robbed when, out of nowhere, he was killed in a hit and run. What makes this extraordinary as that the driver was in all likelihood the pilot of the plane which brought down the twin towers shortly afterwards. It was a detailed account and I found myself reflecting on two major points which stayed with me: firstly, if the driver and his passenger had been apprehended in a more timely fashion, 9/11 may not have happened! Secondly, the book ends on a note which reminds us that not only are the Taliban very much still present, but that at this time in 2024 in America, women's rights are being eroded in a similar fashion to that of those under Taliban control. A must-read memoir and I look forward to part 2.
fascinating and insightful memoirV
A fascinating, captivating and sad story which I couldn't put down and found very easy to read.
It raises the question as to whether the world would be different place if the Police and Security Departments had done their jobs in a timely fashion all those years ago.
Well worth reading as a story and as a sad part of history.

I found this book an emotional roller coaster.
It's a story of love between two people, a loving family and strong bonds of friendship.
The story of the tragedy and the "Brits" encounter with Atta moved me to tears.
It's a thought provoking read. A love story wrapped inside a tragedy - and an incredible thought that if the police had acted differently after that earlier tragedy in May 2000, "9/11" might - just might - not have happened.
